300 MOVIE SOUNDTRACK
⊆ October 22nd, 2007 by admin | ˜ Comments Off300 movie soundtrack is available for those interested in details related to the 300 movie soundtrack. “300” opened on May 9th, 2007 and was an immediate success on its opening weekend. Audiences enjoyed the unique visuals, theatrical acting, and the pulsing soundtrack that drove the battle scenes.
Tyler Bates, who also composed the score for the “Dawn of the Dead” remake, composed the score. The score was recorded at Abby Roads, the same studio the Beatles used to record their albums. The score attempted to remain true to the source material, and truly support the epic struggle of the Spartans as they struggled against their hordes of enemies.
According to Snyder, the director of the film, the score pushed the film out of reality and into mythology, something that has the feeling of the past but still applicable to today’s modern musical palette. Some have criticized the film for being wildly inaccurate to its historical roots, sighting not only the liberties taken on the facts, but also the anachronistic design choices in both the image and the music. I believe that much of this can be attributed to the source material, the original graphic novel, which was created very much as a stylish exercise to portray a heroic event.
For those interested in owning this classic soundtrack, Warner Bros has released a twenty-five track CD that contains all the music from the film, and for the die-hard fans something special awaits you. A special digi-pack with a 16-page booklet is available for those that have to have the best of the best.
